Riga, Latvia’s capital, is set on the Baltic Sea at the mouth of the River Daugava. It is considered a cultural center and is best known for its wooden buildings, art nouveau architecture and medieval Old Town.
Hotel F6 in Helsinki, Finland describes itself as having "Nordic Home-like Luxury," and I could not agree more. This gorgeous hotel is perfectly located just steps from Helsinki's Esplanade (main shopping street) and the harbor, putting you in a prime location for exploring all of Helsinki's charms.
Bergen, Norway has been given many nicknames over the years. It is well know for being the "gateway to the Fjords." Some have called it "the most beautiful city in the world." And others warn not to forget your umbrella because Bergen is "the rainiest city in Europe." While all of those things are true, Bergen has so much more to offer.

Sure, I thought, I'll do some hiking up and down the many, many stairs that link these houses up and down the seaside cliffs, but little did I know that the ultimate hike was waiting for me in this gorgeous locale.
One thing you might not know about me is that I'm kind of obsessed with good design. So when I was looking for my home away from home in Athens, I was thrilled to find the Periscope, a hotel by Yes!Hotels, a member of Design Hotels. Located in the center of Athen's hip Kolonaki district, the art-filled Periscope Hotel is definitely a treat for all the senses.
