One thing you might not know about me is that I'm kind of obsessed with good design. So when I was looking for my home away from home in Athens, I was thrilled to find the Periscope, a hotel by Yes!Hotels, a member of Design Hotels. Located in the center of Athen's hip Kolonaki district, the art-filled Periscope Hotel is definitely a treat for all the senses.
When I decided to explore Greece, I chose not to head straight to the picturesque Islands with the whitewashed walls and blue-domed roofs that everyone thinks of when they think of Greece. Instead, I wanted to dive back into the history classes of my youth and explore the sites of Ancient Greek mythology.
English poet, Lord Byron, described Croatia as the pearl of the Adriatic. And boy, was he right. This tiny country is made up of more than a thousand islands, 11 nature parks, 8 national parks and a long coastline on the Adriatic Sea. All of this contributes to making Croatia one of the most stunning countries I've ever seen.
New Zealand is easily one of my favourite places on the entire earth! This tiny country off the east coast of Australia holds so many amazing wonders that you would be hard pressed not to find something you love. The people are very friendly and helpful, the food is surprisingly delicious and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking everywhere you turn.
