One of the first things I always do when visiting any new city is attempt to locate the best coffee shops. I was only in Salt Lake City for about 24 hours, but managed to find 3 amazing coffee shops that should be on any coffee lovers list.
Zion National Park is located in Southwest Utah and is best known for its steep red cliffs. Named after the Hebrew word, “Zion," which translates as “a place of peace and relaxation," the park offers some of the most breathtaking canyon views in the entire United States.
Bryce National Park is located in Southwest Utah and is best known for its unusually shaped orange rock formations called hoodoos. Having seen hundreds of photos of these gorgeous structures, I knew I had to make a stop to experience them in person. However, while they are truly beautiful to see from a distance, in order to really appreciate their beauty and magnificence, you must venture down into the depths of the hoodoos and experience them from below.
Utah is filled with natural beauty everywhere you look. The state has several "scenic byways" but really, almost every road I drove on was simply breathtaking. Here are a few of the amazing places I discovered on my tour of this magnificent state.
Arches National Park is located just outside the quirky little town of Moab, Utah. Bordered by the Colorado River in the southeast, this red-rock wonderland is home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including its poster-child, the massive, red-hued Delicate Arch. I'd seen plenty of photos of the stunning arches and knew I wanted to plan a visit, but nothing could prepare me for how breathtaking this park really is. It's truly nothing short of spectacular! Here are 3 hikes you must do if you are planning a trip to Arches National Park.
When visiting Southern Utah, you must make time for a stop at the charming Kiva Koffeehouse. Pre-occupied by the gorgeous views as I was driving through the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument, I almost drove right by, but luckily I spotted their large sign and quickly corrected my mistake!
