9 Inspiring Female Travel Instagrammers To Follow

Everyone always asks me where I heard about a certain destination or what inspired me to travel to a certain place. Here’s a little secret. I find most of my inspiration on a little app called Instagram. This month, while everyone is celebrating women, I want to highlight just a few of the amazing female travel photographers who inspire me daily. I hope they will inspire you to get out and see this big, great world we live in:

#1. @thewanderfullylost
Belinda’s gallery is full of gorgeous images of blue water, tropical green surroundings, incredible sunsets and amazing adventures. She has an amazing talent of capturing moments that will sweep you off your feet and into her world. Follow her for escapes to far away lands and magical moments.

#2. @thelookbureau
Based in Dubai, which is often the backdrop for her photos, Faith is a mom and a Travel & Lifestyle blogger with amazing style! Her feed is filled with (in her own words) “whimsical twirls, sporadic prose, wanderlust pursuits & stylish lifestyle experiences.” Faith uses light, angles and details to take incredibly unique and stunning photos. No matter where she is in the world, she always makes me wish I was there with her – and dressed to the nines!

#3. @roamingtina
Tina is an ex-CEO and VC investor who left Silicon Valley to see the world. Now she’s investing her time exploring some of the world’s most gorgeous places. Tina’s personality shines through in her gallery and makes you want to quit your job and travel right along with her!

#4. @meanderingmacaron
Featured in Vogue USA and Elle Decor, the Meandering Macaron’s gallery is full of beautiful images of London, from the doors and houses of Notting Hill to afternoon tea at The Connaught. She’s also the creator of another one of my favorite instagram accounts: @caffeinecouture. Her photos are light, cheery and simply always bring a smile to my face. If you like pastel flowers, colorful doors and anything London, then you need to follow this account!

#5. @thelittlebrave
Zamira is an Austrian who is currently living in New Zealand and capturing all the beauty that this country has to offer. Her gallery is filled with breathtaking shots of turquoise lakes and snow-capped mountains. She also has a way of capturing light that is awe-inspiring. If you love New Zealand as much as I do, you’ll love this gallery!

#6. @dailytravelpill
Aurelia is a full time traveller who was bitten by the travel bug at an early age and decided to pursue her dream of exploring the world. She’s always off on a fantastic adventure and no matter where she is in the world, her photos are full of color and life. Even if I’ve already been to a place where she’s travelling, her photos make me want to go back and see it again!

#7. @kellyalack
Kelly’s gallery is full of unique and interesting moments unlike any other travel blogger out there. Perhaps it’s her ability to capture one small detail and make it so interesting. Maybe it’s the way she weaves greenery into her images. Or maybe it’s because her passion for coffee matches my own. Whatever it is, Kelly’s point of view has me obsessed.

#8. @theslowtraveller
Based in the UK, Carolyn is a pro with a camera. Her images are featured regularly on the Instagram accounts of Condé Nast Traveler, Afar Media and Tiny Atlas Quarterly. Her gallery of muted, neutral colors is soothing, relaxing and minimalistic and she often shares useful photography tips. If you need a calming escape from everyday life, just spend some time looking through Carolyn’s gallery.

#9. @girldiscoverers
The Discoverer is a modern travel guide that transports you to an incredible new destination every week – straight from your email inbox. While their main instagram account is @thedscvrr, this particular gorgeous collection of photos celebrates women by featuring a different lady discoverer in a jaw-dropping location every single day!

I hope you were inspired and delighted by this amazing group of women and found at least one new travel Instagrammer to follow for daily inspiration. If you need one more, check out my account @wellcaffeinatedtraveller. I’ll do my best to take you on an adventure around the world through my photography, quotes and daily musings.

  1. This is a great range of travel bloggers to follow. I’d love to have these kind of photos when I travel, but I don’t usually have my own photographer, so I don’t think I’ll ever achieve this 😦

  3. Your post made me to check out all mentioned Instagrammers. And all of them are nothing less than fabulous! Although somehow I found the Meandering Macaron to be my favourite. Probably because of the flowers and beautiful architecture – and a good eye for detail!

  4. That’s a great idea to share the work of female photographers. I’m a writer, but not much of a photographer, and I know I have a lot to learn. I admire the way they set up interesting compositions. I especially like the photos of London and New Zealand.

  5. Seems to be quite an interesting list of travelers who seem to be focusing on the place rather than themselves. Will definitely be checking out their accounts. Thanks for the inspiration.
